Reflection Areas

13th March 2017
It was a pleasure to welcome our Governors into school on Monday 13th March to support our children in their learning. Throughout the afternoon all of our school community took time to consider the importance of reflection. We live in an increasingly busy and demanding world. Nearly everywhere we go we are bombarded by noise. When we do encounter the opportunity for quiet we often find it challenging or uncomfortable. The Gospels highlight how Jesus took time to withdraw and find place and space to talk with God. ‘Very early the next morning, long before daylight, Jesus got up and left the house. He went out of the town to a lonely place, where he prayed.’ Mark 1:35 With this as a starting point for discussion, every class has designed and created their own reflection space based on their thoughts. We will now be working with the children to utilise these spaces to take opportunities for reflection, prayer and quiet time.
