School Amassadors

At the beginning of Term 1, the children in Years 1 to 6 voted for their new School Ambassador Representatives.  The candidates worked hard to pitch themselves against their opponents and prepared a talk as to why they were the best person for the job.  It was serious stuff!

Well done to all those who put themselves forward for this important role within the school and a special well done to the following children who have been elected by their classmates:

Jellyfish (Year 1) – James

Orca (Year 2) – Amy

Starfish (Year 3) – Stanley

Sea Turtle (Year 4) – Chloe

Dolphin (Year 5) - Ella

Stingray (Year 6) - Jess and George (Chairs)

Term 1:

  • After speaking to classes and voting taking place, the Ambassadors have chosen The Salvation Army as their charity this year.
  • Along with St. James Church, we have collected for One Big Family, as part of our Harvest.
  • The Ambassadors have helped organise a sponsored walk to raise money for a school defibrillator.

Term 2:

  • Sold poppies at Hempstead Valley Shopping Centre, showing support for The British Legion Charity.
  • Organised Children in Need raising £265.
  • Organised and judged the Christmas Bauble Competition.
  • Consulted with classes and parents before deciding that the extra money for the sponsored walk will go towards purchasing new playground equipment.
